Hello, my name Tatyanna M. Williams. I am a native of Houston, TX. I grew up in the northeast area of Houston and attended all north forest schools. I am a proud graduate of M. B. Smiley High School. I moved on to graduate from Texas Southern University where I studied Business Administration, Education and Education Administration. My educational career has been in North forest. I began as a substitute teacher and worked my way up as a teacher. I eventually advanced from teacher to Instructional Specialist, and to an Assistant Principal. Presently, I am the Principal of W. E. Rogers Elementary School.
Education is embedded in me. My mother taught school for 30 years, and there are numerous educators on my mother’s and father’s side of the family. In my position as principal, I plan to instill in all of my students the constant drive to learn. My vision is to make each student a life long learner, and to teach each student the importance of community development and being positive role models within the community and society. Each student’s success will reflect our influence. At W. E. Rogers Elementary, our motto is: “Achieving Academic Success for All”.
