  • In the Science Lab, 4th grade students had fun building their volcanoes and learned the process of the volcano eruptions.

  • Lakewood parents came to the school on November 18th, 2008 for a morning of Science lessons and fun offered by the Science Coach, Mrs. Slaughter.

  • Family Science Night 2008
  • Family Science Night was a huge success on November 19th, 2008. Lots of people came out for a night of fun and learning!

  • Science Coach Mrs. Slaughter prepared yummy dinner for the faculty.
  • Lakewood students did the pledges.
  • 1st grade teacher Mrs. Fisher helped with the raffle tickets.
  • 3rd grade students displayed their projects and the Solar System.
  • Students learned about heat energy.
  • Students played Science Jeopardy.
  • Students learned to make stars, snowman, flower pot, and origami with recycle papers as well as recycle bottles.
  • 1st grade teacher Ms. Craft provided refreshments to the students and parents.
  • Bilingual Kindergarten teacher Mr. Grande helped students with Science activities.
  • Pre-K 4 teacher Mrs. Rhodes and Pre-K 3 teacher Mrs. Flim (in the order from left to right) taught a student to classify matters.
