    April Events
  • 4th and 5th grade students learned about the effects and dangers of soil erosion in the Science Lab with Mrs. Slaughter during the week of April 14th, 2008. Soil erosion is a process in which soil is naturally removed by the action of water and wind.
  • Estimate and Measure
  • 5th grade students learned to estimate and use the measuring tape to measure the actual distance when throwing the paper plate to the ground in centimeters during the week of April 21st, 2008 in the Science Lab.
  • 5th grade students learned to estimate and use the formula “area equals centimeter squares” (A= cm2) to measure the area of their shoes in centimeters during the week of April 21st, 2008.
  • 5th grade students learned to estimate and use the balance to measure the weight of the marbles in grams during the week of April 21st, 2008.
